On the way to East NJ

July 2002

Well, gang, the time has come for a complete update.  The new PBM Racing machine is well on its way to shocking the Mustang racing community.  Brian and I had the pleasure/honor of spending last night at Billy Laskowsky's shop, to check out the progress.  The level of detail work in this chassis is unbelievable!  Billy really pulled out the stops this time, and they have assured me that they would be ready for Atco.

When I arrived, Billy's friend Pete was in the process of fitting the HAL/QA1 strut/coil-over package to the front of the car, with the Performance Automotive K-Member.  Everyone on this team knows their role, and does it to perfection!  Last night, Billy, Chris Beningo, Pete, and also Mary and JIM "Nug"(this one's for you, pal) were all there to lend a hand in the construction of the racecar.  Billy painted the car the other day, and when we were there, the fenders were not yet installed...but just drool over the pictures for a while.    The detail that Billy and Chris have applied to every part in the chassis rivals that of a Pro 5.0 car.  Every part has its place, and the car is built around the parts.  The rear is installed, the rear suspension is done,  the tin work inside the car is done and painted, and they are working on getting the engine and wiring installed this weekend.   Remember when Dan Millen's new Super Street Outlaw car debuted?  This is going to cause the same kind of stir, only in the Hot Street class for NMRA.  A whole new level of racing is about to be unleashed on the Hot Street class, and I hope it makes things better!

Here you go!  Enjoy!
