Press Releases
April Bryant gets her own column in FFW Tire Tracks Magazine
Be advised, April Bryant is to
have her own column in Fun Ford Weekend’s “Tire Tracks”
magazine. Oh, brother!
This is either really good
news or bad news, depending on whether April knows any “secret
information” about you. There is no question that April “knows
all”, and will probably tell everybody about it in her column,
too. As the saying goes, “You can run but you cannot hide.”
April has been relaying race
results to hardcore50.com readers since the summer of 2002. Her
first FFW event was at Richmond, VA in 2002, after which, she
started attending other FFW events, relaying results on-line and
doing photography. In 2003, April became the FFW representative
for hardcore50.com.
April’s column
will be tentatively titled “The Burn-Down”, and will commence
with the Jan/Feb issue of “Tire Tracks”. Anybody that might
have any “tid-bits” about what is going on in Mustang drag
racing, or who’s doing what (or to whom), is encouraged to send
your info to April at
april@hardcore50.com.
Early Model Ford Vehicles Approved for FFW
Showdown Classes
Thursday, November 18, 2004
Because of continued requests, Fun Ford Weekend has decided to
allow "approved" early Ford vehicles to compete in the 2005 FFW
series. This includes 1965 and later Mustangs as well as other
Ford vehicles that meet the class rules and requirements. The
earlier vehicles had been permitted during 2004 in both the Pro
and Street Outlaw classes, and now will be permitted in Drag
Radial, Street Renegade, Street Bandit, Street Warrior, and
Street Stang. The individual Class Rules have been updated to
reflect the minor changes required for vehicles that may have
been factory equipped with leaf springs. Racers with Ford
vehicles built prior to the FOX Mustangs (already 25 years old)
will now have the opportunity to race in the largest all-Ford
drag race series in the country. The 2005 Fun Ford Weekend
season should be very interesting.
