Chris Little:  Making it hook on Radials!
Interview by:  Todd Savidge, Jason Reiss
Photography by: Brian Carner

August 2002

HC50:  Personal Info: Name, location, age, make, model, year of car, etc.

Chris Little, Pasadena, Maryland, 28 years old, 1990 Ford Mustang, 402ci Bennett built Windsor motor, backed by a PA  Powerglide transmission with a Nitrous Pro Flow Nitrous setup..

HC50:  How long have you been drag racing? How did you get your start?

I have been drag racing since the age of 17.  I started out with an 87 Chevy IROC Camaro.

HC50:  What's been the biggest challenge to your racing program?

The biggest challenge is trying to master the radial tire.

HC50:  What would you consider you biggest accomplishment as a racer?

My biggest accomplishment has been winning back to back Championships in the NMRA Drag Radial class.

HC50:  What's gotten you hooked on the Mustang drag racing scene?

Mustang racing is very competitive.  But, unlike most organizations, everyone is pretty much friends and will lend a hand when needed.

HC50:  What are your plans for the future?

My future plans are up in the air right now.  However, we are thinking about M/M in 2003 -- Shhhhhhh!!

HC50:  What changes, if any, do you feel the sanctioning bodies need to make in order for our sport to prosper?

Pro 5.0 is dwindling.  All of the rest of the classes seem to be growing at every event.

HC50: Do you feel like the rules regarding the nitrous, Turbo and blower cars are fair? If not, what would you like to see changed?

I'd rather not get into this one!

HC50:  Who are your biggest friends (or enemies) at the track? Who do you fear having to see at the starting line?

All the racers are my friends!  Everyone is always willing to help out if needed.

HC50:  Any other pertinent info? (sponsors you'd like to thank, wives you HAVE to thank, other things not mentioned you feel are important)

I would like to thanks my wife for putting up with me going racing all the time!  Second, I would like to thank my crew chief, Chris Carloss, my Pop, and everyone else that has gone racing with me this year.  Now, for my sponsors and special help:  Performance Automatics for the killer Powerglide, Nitrous Pro Flow for keeping me on the leading edge of nitrous development, Bennett Racing for the motor and tuning help, Woolford Brothers Chassis for all the work and help they have given me, and anyone else I may have forgotten.  Special thanks to Hardcore for being #1 with all the event updates!

HC50:  Thanks for your time, Chris!  We hope to see you at the races!!!
