How long have you been drag racing?
I started in heads up competition in 1999. NMCA Real Street class.
How did you get your start? I knew Bobby Hanlon for years and years. I asked to tow his car with my new PowerStroke Diesel to the NMCA races to see what it was all about in 1998. I was hooked! I had to do this!
What’s been the biggest challenge to your racing program this season?
Compared to last season?
Our biggest challenge in 2002 was definitely the competition. We lost some of our focus near the end of the year and it showed. I can guarantee that will not happen again!
What would you consider your biggest accomplishments as a racer?
Surrounding myself with quality people that have the same goals, dreams and the drive to obtain them.
What’s gotten you hooked on the Mustang drag racing scene?
Ever since I purchased my first 5.0 Mustang in 1993, this was something I wanted to do.
What are your plans for the future?
To continue to refine our racing program and bring our best to the line EVERY time.
What changes, if any, do you feel the sanctioning bodies need to make
in order for our sport to prosper?
Uniformity in rules. Give the racers the opportunity to cross over and compete in various sanctioning bodies with the same car.
Who are your biggest friends (or enemies) at the track?
I have many friends in various classes throughout the NMRA, and mudslides prevent enemies.
Who do you fear having to see at the starting line? Why?
I race hard no matter who is in the other lane. Hitters in my class bring out the best in me.
What would you tell someone looking to
start out in the heads-up racing scene? Surround yourself with quality people in your racing program, and pick a class that fits your budget.
Very briefly, tell me the dumbest
mistake you've ever made at the race track?
Forgetting to reinstall one plug wire.... AND somehow we actually beating our opponent with that one plug wire off.
Anyone you’d like to thank, wives you HAVE to thank, other things not
mentioned you feel are important?
In 2002, I learned that lack of concentration or lack of focus lost races before I ever got to the starting line.
What music do you listen to? Who’s your favorite?
Everything but Country.
Any nick names for you?
Chrome Dome! Given to me by my crew chief. The reasons are......OBVIOUS.
Do you have any pets?

Do you have Kids? None besides my racecar
