Racing Accomplishments

Top ten in points three years in a row (FFW), with one win in 2002 at Atlanta, GA.  7th in points first year in NMRA with many round wins but no finals...this year. I made the finals three years in a row (2 wins - 1 runner up) at the annual Maryland International Raceway - Ford Fever Classic in the Renegade class.

Sponsors

MILLER LITE -- best beer in the world!  They have been a major sponsor for the last two years.  But, due to lack of press, they will not be returning for 2003, at least not as a full sponsor.  They may, but we will see.  I would like to thank Ricky Best and the guys at Paxton for their help.  I would also like to thank Dynamic Converter (Newark, DE.)

Questions

How long have you been drag racing?  6 years

How did you get your start?  Street racing, South Philly has some of the best....

What’s been the biggest challenge to your racing program this season?  Compared to last season?  Traction -- the more power I make, the harder it gets to hook the car.  I keep making power, but I really need to work on the chassis.

What would you consider your biggest accomplishments as a racer?  Winning the 2003 NMRA championship (oooh wait that hasn't happened yet)

What’s gotten you hooked on the Mustang drag racing scene?  The people I race, they can be your best friend as long as your not at the line together.

What are your plans for the future?  GO FASTER and win the 2003 NMRA points race.

What changes, if any, do you feel the sanctioning bodies need to make in order for our sport to prosper?  Keep the rules the same long enough to build a car.   Also NMRA and FFW need to be closer on the rules so we can all race both series.  That would mean more cars at both races

Who are your biggest friends (or enemies) at the track?  Ed Thomas is both and all the Renegade guys or also good friends and enemies.

Who do you fear having to see at the starting line?  Why?  Everybody and nobody.. I do my thing and hope I do good enough (fear causes hesitation hesitation causes your worst fears to come true) best quote ever..

What would you tell someone looking to start out in the heads-up racing scene?  Pick a class you can afford.  When I started Renegade it was affordable.  Now I am broke trying to keep up.

Very briefly, tell me the dumbest mistake you've ever made at the race track?  Staging with the back tires (first time I was ever at a track)

Anyone you’d like to thank, wives you HAVE to thank, other things not mentioned you feel are important?  Ed Thomas......and all the people who have helped me over the years.   There are to many to mention.

What music do you listen to?  Who’s your favorite?  Rap and R&B

Any nick names for you?  No

Do you have any pets?  No

Do you have Kids?  One on the way, it is due one week before spring break shoot out.

What do you like to do as a hobby outside of drag racing?  Racing four-wheelers - 2003 Raptor with 54 hp

What track do you dislike the most?  Ennis TX.  The last two years it has been cold, real cold!  It is Texas, it is supposed to be warm!

Which is your favorite track to race on?  Maryland International Raceway, fastest I have ever been!!

Do you have a lucky charm?  What is it?  no

If you could meet anybody you wanted living or not who would it be?  Why?  Pam Anderson duuuhhh!!!!

Any additional comments?  watch out 2003 I am coming.......
