How long have you been drag racing?
Since 1971
How did you get your start? Started as a little kid
winning the New Orleans Soap Box Derby...I was hooked on racing ever
since.
What’s been the biggest challenge to your racing program this season? Compared to last season? Going faster and winning a few
events...lol
What would you consider your biggest accomplishments as a racer?
None as of yet...I guess Bowling Green would be it and they don't give
out much for 3rd loser...lol
What’s gotten you hooked on the Mustang drag racing scene?
Seemed like I could build a car that would run fast with limited funds
What are your plans for the future? Not sure yet.
Going faster which is everyone's goal.
What changes, if any, do you feel the sanctioning bodies need to make
in order for our sport to prosper? Align the rules for all
the different organizations.
Who are your biggest friends (or enemies) at the track? I
would say my biggest enemy is myself. I'm never satisfied with
my performance. Friends? So far I've met a lot and hope to
meet more.
Who do you fear having to see at the starting line? Why?
A car faster than mine...lol
What would you tell someone looking to start out in the heads-up
racing scene? Better have a pocket full of money and a lot
of time on your hands...but most of all have fun.
Very briefly, tell me the dumbest
mistake you've ever made at the race track? Red lighting in
the final round at a local race.
Anyone you’d like to thank, wives you HAVE to thank, other things not
mentioned you feel are important? My wife for putting up
with me and my hobby and too many friends to list them all. One
friend the most would be Keith Peters.
What music do you listen to? Who’s your favorite?
Blues...Stevie Ray and BB King

old boss gave it to me when I raced motorcycles

What do you like to do as a hobby outside of drag racing?
Nothing else...there's something besides drag racing??
What track do you dislike the most? Gulfport Dragstrip...local
track that they refuse to treat so you can run safely.

If you could meet anybody you wanted living or not who would it be? Why?
No one I can think of.
Any additional comments? I'm
just a little guy out there having fun...I enjoy going to out of town
races...gives me a chance to get away from the daily routine and spend
time with my family.
