How long have you been drag racing?
Going on 5 years now. I have street raced with muscle cars as a
youngster but started on the track 5 years ago.
How did you get your start? Always loved racing but
bought a mustang and just took it to the track and asked people what
do i do.
What’s been the biggest challenge to your racing program this season? Compared to last season? MONEY problems, money is
definitely an issue when you are trying to go faster and faster.
What would you consider your biggest accomplishments as a racer?
Attaining Rookie of the Year in 1999. Getting a photo shoot in Muscle
Mustang & Fast Fords magazine. Having people come up to me and know
who I am and say that I inspire them
What’s gotten you hooked on the Mustang drag racing scene?
Everything about it, it's like a drug, an expensive drug.
What are your plans for the future? My plans are big but
one step at a time. Need to attain a major sponsorship to fulfill my
plans.
What changes, if any, do you feel the sanctioning bodies need to make
in order for our sport to prosper? NMRA needs to allow
aftermarket computer systems in their Renegade class!!
Who are your biggest friends (or enemies) at the track?
No enemies. I have lots of nice friends at the track. My racing
partner, Randy Sphaler has since retired from drag racing but he was
my best friend in the racing circuit.
Who do you fear having to see at the starting line? Why?
I fear no one. If I happen to lose, then he was the better racer or
had more money for his or her goodies than I.
What advice would you give to
someone looking to start out in the heads-up racing scene?
Get sponsorship
Very briefly, tell me the dumbest
mistake you've ever made at the race track? I had a problem
with my NOS and it wouldn't work so feverishly 6 of my pit crew were
working on my car. Finally figured out the problem, they had already
called us to the line. I rushed in line and made it to the end of the
pack. Performed my burnout and staged, took off, forgetting to ignite
the NOS system. The guys were waiting for me in the pits with a rubber
chicken. It was my trophy for the week!!
Anyone you’d like to thank, husbands you HAVE to thank, other things not
mentioned you feel are important? Too many people to thank
but start off with my mom, Jackie, dad, Sidney, my son Bobby, my
daughter, Bambi, and many other people in the racing community
including Super Street Racing. Oh, and my two little granddaughters,
Kayla and Chantel to give me the inspiration to race.
What music do you listen to? Who’s your favorite?
Hard rock, southern rock
Any nick names for you? Just cincin -- my screen name. Probably others I
wouldn't want to hear.
Do you have any pets? Old English Mastiff, Sinbad who
just had a serious operation to save his life (he's 11 years old).
Spent $3000 on it - that could of been a transmission. But one look at
his face, and I had to help him out!! He's doing well to this date.
Do you have Kids? Bambi
age 20 Bobby age 23
What do you like to do as a hobby outside of drag racing?
Write about drag racing, get sponsorships for drag racing, enjoy the
grandchildren, play pool, cruises, and car shows. You mean there is a
life without drag racing??? Hmm....
What track do you dislike the most? Moroso Motorsports
Park, my local track and Orlando SpeedWorld. The track is not well
prepared.
Which is your favorite track to race on? Favorites. Oh
good, i would say Bradenton Motorsports Park, Bristol, and Maple
Grove, but there are more that I really like also.
Do you have a lucky charm? What is it? Naw, wish I
did so it could start bringing me luck.
If you could meet anybody you wanted living or not who would it be? Why?
Cindy Crawford - because she shares my name I would have to think more
on this one......
