Questions

How long have you been drag racing?  Since 1988

How did you get your start?  I went to a local Shelby meet and won the meet in my class.  I have been hooked ever since.

What’s been the biggest challenge to your racing program this season?  Compared to last season?  Doing the R&D with ATI ProCharger on the chain driven blowers.

What would you consider your biggest accomplishments as a racer?  First Pro 5.0 racer in the Sixes.  There was a lot of hype on getting into the sixes.  At the close of 2002, we had run as fast as 7.02 in testing, so there was a pressure on us to get there first, especially since we were the first in the seven's.

What’s gotten you hooked on the Mustang drag racing scene?  It is truly exciting.  Good competition.

What are your plans for the future?  We are going to run for the championship in the NMRA racing series.

What changes, if any, do you feel the sanctioning bodies need to make in order for our sport to prosper?  Make small changes at a time..

Who are your biggest friends (or enemies) at the track?  I have a lot of friends that I am proud to be around.  Steve Furguson, Gary Youngblood, John Gullett, Bill Rimmer, Jim Summers, Dan Jones, Ken Jones, Chris Spies, J.R. Granatelli just to name a few..

Who do you fear having to see at the starting line?  Why?  Bill Rimmer and Donny Walsh Jr.  Both are consistent and can cut a light.

What would you tell someone looking to start out in the heads-up racing scene?  It is very expensive.  Get a partner!!!!  Don't give up!

Very briefly, tell me the dumbest mistake you've ever made at the race track?  Left a spark plug wire off ... a couple of times.  Not too proud of that!...

Anyone you’d like to thank, wives you HAVE to thank, other things not mentioned you feel are important?  All of my accomplishments would not have been possible without my crew chief, Ray "Fuzzy" Crow.  We have been friends for many years and partners on the race car.  I would also like to thank my wonderful wife for her support and crew support.  And last, but not least, would be my parents.

What music do you listen to?  Who’s your favorite?  Rock, Contemporary, Van Halen

Any nick names for you?  N/A

Do you have any pets?  No - Gone too much

Do you have Kids?  2 - My son named Taylor, and my daughter named Tori

What do you like to do as a hobby outside of drag racing?  Working Out

What track do you dislike the most?  Orlando Speedworld

Which is your favorite track to race on?  Bradenton

Do you have a lucky charm?  What is it?  N/A

If you could meet anybody you wanted living or not who would it be?  Why?  George W. Bush -  After 9/11, the Space Shuttle disaster, the war with Iraq.  What can I say - A very strong leader!

Additional Comments:  I would like to say thanks to all of the good fans!  Meeting new people at every race makes it all worth it..
