I just re cleared a hood, using more material than I normally use, looks pretty good, except... I have lots of tiny air bubbles coming to the surface. No larger than a pin head. I know tomorrow I can 2000 grit sand and buff out, but when i mix the clear and hardner, and stirred, the air bubbles were there. Is this causing the bubbles after being sprayed??? after mixing clear do I need to let it sit for a while before spraying?? Thanks for any info

I've never had a prob because the clear had bubbles in it when mixing, usually it is "solvent pop" from the solvents not being able to escape, more airflow or less material needed, not what ya wanted to hear right? anyway that's my guess, what it sounds like anyway. I've had bubbles IN the clear, not on top, from spraying WAY too heavy before, but that was just a screw up. anyway let me know how it works out.

CB is right..u are getting solvent pop..happens when u dont let the clear flash long enuff between coats or if u put on too much material too soon.it should sand out if its not too bad.gl
