I'm wonder what race fuel everyone uses with the O2 sensors. Doesn't lead ruin the O2's when used? What types of unleaded fuel are available?
All input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

With stock style sensors I use unleaded race fuel, in michigan we can get torco at the track, its 104 octane. Check around I think you can get 110 unleaded.

Yes leded fuel does ruin the o2 sensors,, I learned the hard way,,, 65 bucks a pop for new sensors,,,,, now I only go with the highest octaine unleaded,,, Bee

Most local airports sell unleaded av gas around 100 octane,or you can run a o2 safe octane booster.

VP has 5 different types of fuel. I was running C-10 last year. 100 motor octane. Thats whant you need to be worried about - motor octane. Talk to a VP rep.

I personally run torco 112 leaded. I get bosch o2's at autzone for less then $40 each. Personally I would rather spend $80 on o2's every 3 or 4 months then have to spend loads of money fixing the damage done by detonation. To me it is cheap insurance.

some motors don't need 112 or higher leaded, 104 unleaded will work for most street cars.

It all depends. Just because 104 is all you need, that might not be the case for the next guy. And vice versa for me. Just because I need 112 doesn't mean the next guy does. Any car with a fair amount of boost and some agressive timing sure could benefit from it. It is definitely overkill on a n/a car or a car with lower boost levels or less agressive timing.

Have you ever tried to put the old O2's in a street car to clean them. My buddy runs a set of O2's for the weekend with leaded gas. He then puts them in his daily driver and runs them all week. He claims it will clean the lead out.
