I have a 93lx with 100% stock suspension. I normally cut 1.99-2.03 60' times on Nittos. What can I do to help improve my short times? I know I'm not the best driver. Should I look into some better tires(ET streets) or improve my suspension(LCA's)? The car should make around 300rwhp NA and might see nitrous this year. Thanks, James.

I'll assume you're wanting the car to perform better for drag racing and don't mind compromising some handling.
I personally like the ET streets over the Nittos. I'm sure you will pick up your 60ft with just changing that. You can also go with adjustable upper and lower control arms and possibly a solid or spherical upper bushing in the housing. Yes, my solids make some noise, but I'm not too concerned considering what they do for me. At the very least, go with something like an Energy Suspension bushing.
If you don't already have them, install some sub frame connectors.
I don't have my quad shocks on and only experienced wheel hop with my street tires. ET streets never hopped.
I'm thinking of trying out the BFG drag radials this year to get a feel for what they are like.
Just a few suggestions for you. I hope some others give you some more input.

Get some upper and lower control arms and subframe connectors to start...like fireman said, you'll give up a bit of handling and ride quality depending upon what parts you choose but it all depends on what you'll be doing with the car primarily. As for me, im going to set it up more for drag racing... 90/10s, 50/50s, drag launch springs w/ bag, dbl adjust uppers and solid lowers..you get the deal. I just cant make up my mind on which control arms to go with....either HPM or UPR..Wolfe is a thought. i dont plan to run the sphrerical bushing though. As for tires...ET Streets are more track oriented than the Nittos which aren't bad for street driving. I plan on keeping my 10 holes and BFG rubber(non drag radial) on the street and skinnies and ET Drag on Draglites for the fun stuff

what I have found to work best CHEAP is take the swaybar off the front , 4cyl springs up front and 90-10's .... trash those nitto's and get some BFg's or Et streets. it should hood pretty good

302 on spray with 4cylsprings , 90-10's , and no sway bar , and Bfg's I had low 1.60 60's not best in the world but was fine ...

Odds are the Nittos are gone. I will either get the ET streets or some M&H's(cheap from a friend). Are the old 10 holes or turbines a 15" rim??

Do yourself a favor and invest in some slicks. Many people....myself included back when i first started racing.....continue to spend money trying to go faster instead of hooking what they have. I bought slicks and immediately got quicker and more consistant. Going fast is fun...but so is winning rounds. IMO, with 1.9-2.0 second 60 foots your best money is going to be spent on slicks.......

Thanks for the info. I will dump the Nittos this year for a better tire. I dont know if slicks are best for my stock rear though. I'll just have to see what deals come to surface ;)
